We are a family owned restaurant. With a great team of servers and cooks. The name Shanty was started back in the 40's, by relatives name Jack and Mildred. He opened up an old shack in Elberton Ga.( that is how the name Shanty came about). Uncle Jack passed away years later. The restaurant in Elberton closed it doors for many years after. We opened the doors back up, and it has been running for over 10 years. We have been wanting to expand Th' Shanty for some time now. And when The Ritz became available we took it. It took over half a year cleaning the old place up. With alot of late hours and hard work. The doors finally opened. Still preparing the great home cooking as in Elberton. And with an excellent staff to serve you.
